Sheryl Wabi

Director

Sheryl Wabi is a Realtor at Berkshire Hathaway Biros Real Estate. Using her extensive knowledge, patience, flexibility, and low pressure sales approach, Sheryl has successfully grown her business consistently thanks to the repeat business of happy clients and their referrals of friends, family and neighbors.

Sheryl enjoys working with people, especially helping family and friends whenever needed, which is clear in her extensive volunteer work. She has served in numerous nonprofit leadership positions, including Vice-President of the Gym-Kinetics Gymnastics Booster Club, Gym Manager of the IGI Chicago Style Gymnastics Meet, Chairperson of the St. Louis Block Party, and Room Mom and Crossing Guard at Mt Greenwood School. Her volunteer work extends to many functions at her church, as well as years of efforts to support a local family whose daughter battled terminal cancer

On a personal level, organ donation is very close to Sheryl’s heart. When her brother was 13 years old in 1984 he was one of the youngest patients to undergo a heart transplant at that time. She and her family were so grateful to the donor in that gave them another 7 years to spend with her brother who passed away when he was 20 years old due to complications from phenomena, but they never forgot the gift that gave them those extra years. While she was so very grateful to the donor family, she never really understood the actual heartbreak and decision-making process that the donor family had to go through until she sat through the loss of Maddie. Maddie was like a daughter to her, and Maddie’s energy and personality are something that she can never forget. Sheryl believes Maddie is going to live on through her organ donation, and she is honored to be part of this great foundation to help bring attention to a cause that needs to have more awareness, so that families can have discussions prior to having to go through such a difficult and delicate decision during a heartbreaking situation.
